COOROY, Queensland

Cooroy is a sleepy little village located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, not far from Noosa. We’ve been to Noosa a few times and have always enjoyed its lovely beaches and holiday vibe. It’s undoubtedly one of Australia’s most popular get-away destinations for obvious reasons!

The cooler weather kept us away from the beaches but there was no holding us back from the Eumundi Markets – Australia’s BEST markets by far! We easily spent a whole day there, sampling the amazing array of scrumptious food, enjoying the chilled sounds of local musicians, stocking up on fresh produce and treating ourselves to few little pressies. Michael and Jesse usually steer well clear of markets but even they thoroughly enjoyed the eclectic mix of stalls and relaxed atmosphere.

We also took the opportunity to catch up with another family we’d met whilst travelling through the NW of WA. They kindly hosted us for dinner at their stunning rainforest property. Their children, Beau and Gus provided great entertainment for our three kids, giving us adults a chance to reminisce and compare travel stories. They had crammed their Big Lap into 6 months but still had a ball and came home with incredible memories of our astonishingly beautiful country. Thank you Heidi and Alan.
