We've both finished work now...it's exciting and daunting! It felt weird waking up this morning knowing I don't have to "go to work" for 12 months! We will have work of a different kind but our office will be a 22 foot camper parked wherever takes our fancy in the most beautiful parts of this amazing country.
Preparations are going well so our departure date of 18th December is looking safe. We've begun packing boxes and culling 'stuff' we don't need - quite cathartic actually. Over the next week we will begin putting everything in storage, emptying the pantry, packing the camper and doing final maintenance jobs around the house. It doesn't quite feel real yet but I'm sure that will change very quickly as the house empties out.
In the next week we are also scheduled to meet with the Distance Education people and get the CB & recovery points fitted to the car. Another few items we can 'tick' off the ever shrinking list! Yay
Thank you for the bubbles and the laughs ladies! It was the perfect way to finish my last day at work.
(For those not in Melbourne...this was on the 26th November, it was 17 degrees and FREEZING. The day before was 34 degrees. Bloody Melbourne weather!)
